JUNE 29 - JULY 3: Pony Camp for 5 - 8 year olds
JULY 13 - 17: Beginner Camp - all ages
AUGUST 3 - 7: Beginner Camp - all ages
Amber Hill Farm Day Camps
Offer an exciting opportunity for Beginners to learn about ponies & horses, care, equipment and basic riding skills.
Amber Hill’s Camp program is
HORSES, HORSES, and HORSES.
The entire daily program is wrapped around riding, managing, and learning
about all aspects of horses, including grooming and care.
We aim to help each rider achieve sound basic riding skills, learn proper care, and have the personal enjoyment of being around horses on a daily basis in a friendly camp environment.
Sessions are designed for those new to horses to the advanced beginner rider, and are limited in number of students to ensure more personal instruction.
“PONY CAMP” SESSION:
Is designed for boys and girls 5-8 years old to introduce ponies & riding.
Lots of coloring & activities, and ponies the right sizes!
Camp runs 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
Monday – Friday
“Demonstration Day” is 12:00 pm
on Friday
Please bring a healthy snack, a drink and/or water bottle
BEGINNER CAMP SESSIONS:
For boys & girls 8 yrs and up
More emphasis is placed on learning basic riding skills, grooming, care and barn management.
Camp includes daily mounted lessons, as well as grooming, learning about tack, breeds, care, and other fun activities!
Camp runs 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Monday – Friday
“Show Day” is 2:00 pm on Friday
Please bring a healthy, brown bag lunch, a drink and/or water bottle.
ALL CAMPERS
are required to wear ASTM Certified helmets, and a hard soled shoe or boot with heel, and long pants.
Limited helmets are available for loan.
May bring shorts to change into after riding.
We provide a nice selection of horses & ponies to choose from at Amber Hill.
ALL SESSIONS INCLUDE:
- Small groups
- Mounted lessons daily
- Daily unmounted lessons on colors, breeds,horse management, grooming, etc.
- Hands-on daily care of horses
- “Show Day” demonstration for Parents
- Camp T-Shirt
